Rain stops play after a fiery show from Plunkett

The show started with E Morgan hitting the ball all over the ground. England needing 54 runs from 37 balls before the rain stopped play. Chasing a target of New Zealand’s mammoth score of 398, England went to score quickly with a runrate of more than 7 runs per over. They were 275/7 in the 37th over. This is really a great match as the New Zealand team scored 398 runs in the first session and set them a target of 399. Plunkett  and Rashid continued to play good shorts to take the teams score from 275/7 to 345/7 in 43.5 over before rain poured in. Now it will just 45 minutes to decide the match as England are 9 runs behind the D/L target.
