Indian film industry found a new star names Sunny Leone
in the 2012 movie “Jism 2” directed by Pooja Bhat. The year 2012 was the debut
of Karenjit Kaur Vohra whose
stage name is Sunny Leone. She was born in a Punjab Family on May 13, 1981. She
did her schooling and college in Canada and had an aim to become a nurse and
serve the people. But, that did not happen as she entered the porn film
industry and became one of the popular searched stars in Internet with many
movies under her. She was also given the Penthouse Pet of the Year award in
2003. She then started to produce film under her banner Sun-lust
Pictures with her husband Daniel Weber who also has co-starred with her in many
porn movies.
She first produced a movie “The Dark Side of the Sun”
that was released in the year 2009 and continued with many movies were she
produced, directed and also the script writer. She decided to stop the porn
business and try the main stream movies to change the image of porn star to a
super star or an actress. This made her to come to India and also grabbed a
chance to get a role in Pooja Bhat directorial movie “Jism 2”. This made good
collection and also received appreciation for the role played by the actress.
The main reason for the movie chance was the Big Boss show hosted by Salman
Khan. She was one of the contestants in one of the Big Boss seasons. She also
acted in movies like Jackpot and Ragini MMS 2. She also has appeared in south
Indian movies as an Item dance. The Kannada movie DK is set to release as Leone
has done an Item dance. Some of her upcoming movie as heroine are Ek Paheli Leela, Mastizaada,
Kuch Kuch Locha Hai and One Night Stand.
