7. T Dilshan: 

Opening batsman of Sri lanka plyed some useful knocks to help the team to be in good positions in matches they played. He has scored 395 runs to be in the seventh place for highest individual scorers in World Cups.

6. S Smith: 

The Australia all rounder changed the game for the Australian team by playing some valuable innings in the semi finals and finals to help the team win the World Cup. He crossed 400 runs and reached 402 in the finals of the World Cup 2015.

The left handed opener from India gave a good start to the Indian team that gave the team strainght wins before the semi finals. But he failed to score in the big match that was lost by Indian team. HE has scored 412 runs and placed fifth in the individual scorers list.

He played his last One Day match for Zimbabwe and scored a century of his last innings against the Indian team. But that did not help them to win the match. HE played some great innings for his team and scored 433 runs and is in the fourth place.

This also was the world cup record that no other teams have achieved. He has scored the runs with more than 150 strike rate in the last ten overs. HE ended scoring 482 runs for the team and placed in the third place in the list.

2. Kumar Sangakkara: 

The left handed legend of Srilanka played his last match in the World Cup and retired in style with a four continuous century becoming a record. But could not take the team to last stage. HE scored 541 runs from less matches compared to other players. Even the top ranked in the list also has played more matches than this batsman.

1. Martin Guptil: 

The batman from New Zealand who is holding the record for highest individual score in a match with 237 runs and also with highest run scorer of the World Cup. He ended scoring 547 runs. The batsman failed to score in the big final that let them down.
