Ashwin grabs Five Wickets


Indian team lead by Virat Kohli has done well from the first day of the test match against the West Indies at Antigua. The heroic in batting by the Indian Captain and Ravichandra Ashwin helped the team to reach a mammoth total of 566/8 before the end of second days play. Double Century by Virat, Century from Ashwin, Half centuries from Dhawan and Mishra put the team in a great position in the test. The bowlers of West Indies found it difficult to take wickets in each interval of time. Bishoo and Brathwaite were the wicket takers for the hosts taking three wickets each. Gabriel supported them with two wickets to his name. The Hosts started to bat with a big total to cross and also having no big names like Bravo or Gayle in the side. For the Windies Brathewaite opened the innings with Chandrika. The first wicket partnership for of 30 runs with Sami picking the first wicket of Chandrika. Then wickets started to stumble in each interval of time and the team 92/5 at one stage. A better partnership of 47 runs between the opener and Chase helped the team to reach near 150 runs. J Holder and S Dowrich's 69 rums eighth wicket partnership helped the team to reach 243 runs in the first innings with a follow on. Again the West Indies team came to bat with wickets started to fall again. Now the score is 167/8 in 63.3 overs.
