ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier Warm-up Matches: Canada vs Namibia




Canada won the toss and chose to bat against the Namibian team at Edinburgh. Winning the toss Canada elected to bat first. It was a one man show by the opener Rizwan Cheema who played a knock of his life by scoring 98 runs from just 36 balls with 7 fours and 10 sixers. This veteran played some good shorts to the boundary and hit some huge sixers to entertain the crowd. Other players just watched this and were happy to see this game. Rain interrupted match was shortened for 13 overs reaching 149 runs. Namibia needing a score of 150 runs in 13 overs started to lose wickets from the early overs and were all out for 75 runs in 11.4 overs. Canada won the match by 74 runs.
