Caribbean Premier League – Match 4




The fourth match of the Caribbean Premier League was played between St Lucia Zouks and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the toss and chose to bat first in a good Caribbean pitch. The start was bad as wickets started to tumble from the first over. Samuels was the lone player to score a half century in 37 balls with 4 fours and 3 six. From the other end DC Thomas supported the captain with a brisk 34 runs from 34 balls to take the score to 149 runs. ST Gabriel and FH Edwards were the two bowlers who took three and two wickets respectively to restrict them below 150. Chasing a target of 150 to win the match openers Fletcher and Charles put on a partnership of 81 runs for the first wicket to give the team a good start. This helped the team to reach the target in 15.4 over. St Lucia won the match by seven wickets.
