An unfinished victory celebrated by David Warner was the
main reason for the RCB victory. Many catches were left in the match, but a
misjudged catch from the captain of Hyderabad
helped the opponents to win the match by four wickets and climbed the points
table to second position. RCB captain Virat Kohli, man of the match was the
star of the match by hitting a score of 44 runs from 19 balls to take his team
home.
Winning the toss, SRH captain David Warner won the toss and
elected to bat first before a sudden rain hit the ground. After a two and half
hour wait the match was reduced to 11 overs per side. SRH lost Dhawan early to
have some confidence in the beginning for the bowlers of RCB. It was Henriques
who hit the ball all over the ground to take the teams score to 100 runs in the
8th over. He made 50 from 20 balls and his partner also scored a
handy half century from 30 balls. After 11 overs it was 135/3 and a big score
to chase for the opponent team.
Again rain affected the match and was again the target was
reduced to 81 runs from just 6 overs. Gayle started from the first ball to
score big shorts and lost his wicket after scoring 35 from 10 balls. Kohli from
other side also was hitting the ball to the boundary. Again it was Henriques
who took two wickets in two balls to dismiss Gayle and AB Devilliers. Pressure
was put on Kohli to get the runs without his wicket to fall. The Royal
Challengers Bangalore needed 13 runs from the last over. It was a bad luck for
Karthik to get out. Then Kohli hit the ball in the air and the captain caught
it, but touched the rope. He just could not judge it perfectly and stop himself
from touching the rope.
