Leeds was the setting for Cheteshwar Pujara's first century
for Yorkshire, with India's
Test No 3 scoring 133 not out in his club's second innings against Hampshire
amid a Division One match. The 27-year-old caught up his 18 in Yorkshire's first innings with 133 from 182 balls out of
an aggregate of 305 for 4, the guests setting Hampshire an objective of 450. At
the end of play, they were 37 for 4.
Since he made his Yorkshire
make a big appearance on April 12, Pujara had made 0, 57, 23 and 33 preceding Tuesdays
innings. From 35 for 1 in the 12th over, Pujara conveyed Yorkshire
after the loss of Alex Lees and captain Andrew Gale, putting on 130 for the
fourth wicket with Jonny Bairstow who also scored 59. After India lost a Test arrangement in England the
