The start was good from the Mumbai Indians with a good
partnership of 90 runs for the first wicket under 11 over. Patel played a knock
of 35 runs from 35 balls before he was caught by Jadeja off Bravo. The West
Indian All rounder was again the game changer for the Chennai team by picking
quick wickets. From the other end Simmons continued his form by scoring 65 runs
from 51 balls with 3 fours and 5 big six. But, it was the big man Pollard who
scored a quick fire 41 from 17 balls with 1 four and 5 six to set the opponents
a target of 188 runs.
The Chennai team was missing the greats of McCullum in the
opening spot. He was replaced by Mr. Cricket Hussey. He could not give a start
for his team like McCullum did. Two wickets fell quickly and put the CSK in the
back foot. Plessis and Raina were going well till Harbhajan picking two wickets
in an over changed the game and helped the Mumbai team to come back into the
match. Wickets started to fall like a tracer bullet and were all out for 162
runs with an over to spare.
