New ICC ODI Team Ranking List



ICC has announced its One Day Ranking after the World Cup 2015. It is obvious that Australia leads the One day ranking table after winning the World Cup in style. But it is not the New Zealand team that is in the second spot after the loss in the finals. Let us see the ranking table that is released by the International Cricket Council (ICC):



1. Australia
 
Matches 59 

Points 7221   

Rating 122

The team is leading the table after winning the World Cup finals and managed to keep their place. It is a good year for the champion team who lifted the cup for the fifth time under the captaincy of M Clarke who has announced his retired from One Day cricket after the finals.


2. India

Matches 77

Rating 116

India are still in the second position after the loss to the champions in the semi finals.

3. South Africa

Matches 62

Rating 112

South Africa is in the third place after a loss in the semi finals.


4. New Zealand

Matches: 54

New Zealand are up to the fourth place in the table after the finals loss to the champion team Australia.

5. Srilanka

Rating 107

Srilanka are in the fifth position after a good performance in the World Cup 2015.

 

 6. England

After a bad show in the World Cup they are down to the sixth place in the ICC cricket rating. It may be a bad world cup for the England team as they were out in the first round with the defeat against the Bangladesh team.



7. Pakistan

The Pakistan team might have lost the quarterfinals against the Australian team but were very tough to be beaten in the match. They are in the seventh place in the rating. It was a great bowling performance by the Pakistan bowler and was one of the best spells of this World Cup. The man was Wahab Riyaz who showed some attitude before the defeat.


8. West Indies

West Indies are in the eight place in the table with some wins in the World Cup beating Pakistan. 



9. Bangladesh

Bangladesh are in the ninth place after showing a great show in the World Cup. The defeated the England team in a crucial match that helped the team to reach the quarter finals.

 

10. Zimbabwe

Rating 50

Zimbabwe are in the ten place after a closed matches that should have been won by the team. They were close to victory against South Africa and West Indies.

11. Ireland

The team that surprised the West Indies in the World Cup is in the eleventh place. They were close to be in the quarterfinals but could not reach the next round but played better than England team.

12. Afghanistan

Afghanistan are in the 12th place after getting their first thrilling win in World cups.

These ratings may change after upcoming series. Till any new series this will be the ranking as far as team is concerned.
