An Airbus plane worked by Lufthansa's Germanwings plan carrier slammed in southern France on Tuesday in transit from Barcelona to Duesseldorf, police and aeronautics authorities said. French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said he saw somewhere around 142 and 150 individuals were ready and dreaded dead.
"The reason is at present obscure," he told correspondents. A representative for the DGAC flying power said the plane smashed close to the town of Barcelonnette around 100 km (65 miles) north of the French Riviera city of Nice. Lufthansa's Germanwings unit said it was so far not able to confirm reports of the accident. The slammed A320 is 24 years of age and has been with the guardian Lufthansa bunch since 1991, as indicated by online database airfleets.
