Karnataka Relaxes Lockdown: Full List Here

The Chief Minister of Karnataka released a relaxation list on Saturday that read 16 districts will be having a relaxation and the remaining 13 would continue with lockdown. In this 16 districts that have less than 5% positivity rate of corona virus can work with 50% occupancy in offices and lodges, resorts and gyms can run with the sane 50% capacity. Social Distancing and wearing mask will continue. Buses and metro trains also will be running with the same percentage of capacity as the other departments mentioned above. The shops, restaurants and clubs can work from 6 am till 5 pm. These decisions were taken after the meeting with higher medical institutional officials, COVID officials and the ministers. Large gathering will not be entertained till further notice.

1.   Bus and metro trains will run with 50% occupancy.

2.   Offices with 50% occupancy.

3.   Restaurants, Hotels, gyms can operate with 50% occupancy.

4.   Cinema Halls, Swimming pools to be closed till further notice.

5.   Outdoor Sports without spectators are allowed.

6.   Night Curfew to continue from 7 pm to 5 am

7.   Full Weekend Lockdown will continue from Friday 7 pm to Monday 5 am

8.   No gathering in Yoga day (21^st June). Yoga must be done from Home.

9.   The 16 districts that are under unlock are Uttara Kannada, Mandya, Koppal, Belagavi, Tumkur, Bidar, Bengaluru urban, Gadag, Raichur, Bagalkote, Kalburgi, Haveri, Ramanagara, Chikkballapur, Kolar and Yadgir. The other 13 districts including Mysore will continue with the lockdown.

The reason for this lock down is that of reduction of covid cases in these districts.

Yesterday the numbers in the state were recorded 5815 new cases and 161 deaths. The state also saw 11832 discharges.

These Lockdown relaxations will be till 5^th July 2021. 

FINLAND vs DENMARK match Suspended due to Medical Emergency

 

The match was played between FINLAND and DENMARK at the Telia Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. It was started on time and was going well till the 42^nd minute, when Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed in the field. He had a cardiac arrest and was given CPR on the pitch. On the 42^nd minute, the Demark team had a throw-in and ball hit Eric’s knees. Suddenly, a shock for the team mates and all gathered near him as medical emergency team rushed to the area and gave the required treatment. The team formed a ring around the player, helping the medical team to give emergency treatment. As per the photographs by the newspapers, he raised his hand on a stretcher, as he was carried from the pitch.

Following the medical emergency, the match officials decided to suspend the match as it would not be good to continue the match after a shocking incident happened on the field. The match is now suspended reason is “due to medical emergency”.

COVID FREE VILLAGE in KARNATAKA - Elaneeru Village

 

CORONA virus is one of the issues faced around the world. The world is facing the issues at different levels, from COVID effected zones to deaths in the family due to this pandemic. A story of positivity is around in one of the villages of Karnataka. This place is located near the border of Chikkamagaluru district. The name of the village is Elaneer. This is around 35 km away from Belathangady taluk. The village has no cases of COVID from last one year. The reason behind it is the strict measures taken by the villagers and the panchayat officials.

The Village has a total of 136 families, with a population less than 640 people. People started adhering to the rules set by the government. They did not move to places without any reason. No people were allowed to enter the Village.

Asha Workers visited the houses frequently to check with the symptoms and treat as required. They were taken COVID tests with the report reading negative. The COVID 19 taskforce was appointed to deliver grocery items. Free ration was also delivered as per the government order. The other big task in the early days for the members of Gram Panchayat is create awareness about the virus and the steps to follow. In early days of the pandemic, the people from the Village working in different places were not allowed to enter the place and no one were also allowed to go out of Elaneer. But, with the families’ interest, they were allowed to enter the village with a 14 days quarantine. The frequent check on the visiting person on quarantine has also helped the virus to not enter this Village of Karnataka.

Big question during this pandemic was that of releasing election dates. Election Commission did not rule out the elections that had resulted in this hike in COVID numbers. Madras high court also stated that “The Election Commission must be hanged for not stopping elections or the rallies”.  Worst was when Kumbh Mela was organised without any COVID protocols in the state of Uttarakand. So, at-least now onwards, it must be more importance to constructs Hospitals and improve medical facilities than investing on religious places, statues and stadiums.

I would urge the PM of our country to start focusing on good infrastructure on health and medical field. It would be better to invest on our Government Hospitals and Education institutions to have a healthy life and a good education.
