Cynophobia to Dog Lover - All Men are not Dogs

It is a great feeling for every girl who comes to the city from a small village or town. The first thing they look for is a good and safe place to stay. After that it is the job they are looking for to be independent. Today I would want to go through a story of a girl who came from a small city to a big metro city like Bangalore, now called Bengaluru. She was very much scared about the exposure and also happy about being independent with no one around to scold her. She attended many interviews and finally cracked one with an OK salary to pay rent and take care of her small expenses. This is the first time she has been out of her home. Gradually her fear got reduced by making friends in the office. She started to roam around with her colleagues that made her more confident. Then the next step of changing the PG’s as per salary increase. She used to visit her parents every six months or even three month gap sometime. She became friend with a colleague who was working with her. She was comfortable with the friend she chose and spent weekends roaming around the streets, parks, shopping complex and cinema halls accompanying him. She had Cynophobia (fear for dogs) that made her shiver or run from the place she was in. But the friend who accompanied her took care of her by just chasing the dog from that spot. The boy used to feed biscuits to that same dog when she was not around. This friendship went on for days and years together with the bonding between the two were great.

The boy was upset about the girl’s travel to her hometown every three months. They used to speak on phone for hours together filling out gossips and sweet talks. When on return he used to pick her from the airport and drop her to the PG. Finally, she decided on shifting from a PG to a two BHK house with one of the girls she was working with. This decision made her happy again with no one sharing her room and no disturbance. The problem this time was cooking, washing and cleaning that made her sick. She adjusted the situation and started to cook, wash and clean clothes as the other spinsters do. The girl was put in the night shift in the big place like Bangalore. The secret stand about the news is that her parents in her home town did not know the information on night shift as many girls in the big city lie about their job. She and her friend used to go to the same park the dog used to trouble her. But, not for the dog, but the place it is. It is one of the posh areas of the city that made the two spend time.
This Cynophobia (fear for dog) helped the guy catch her hand and walk through. The girl used to love cats and hate dogs, as per her the dogs are villan of her life. She used to order PIZZA and then many other eatables as she was little lazy about cooking. Working also was the issue with night shifts creating health issues. This forced her to leave the job and try to get a day shift job. She finally got a day shift job that helped in paying rent and other basic things. The girl was little crazy and immature that made her take some odd decisions making her life miserable. Even the boy who was with her also was or is immature about the decisions they make. They used to leave jobs on a regular interval of time by collecting money for another two months. They find a job for the next three or four months. Then they got a job with a descent salary. This enjoyment continued with them for years together in two to three cities of India. They enjoyed the process of leaving jobs and joining them again. It was a thrill that made them take such odd decisions that many or no one would have attempted.

But, everything changed when the last day of the year was on and the party time for all around. Now, they were back in Bangalore an IT city where women were meant to be safe. I tell this because at times I used to walk back to home at midnight in an odd area that makes me so scared, but, two girls used to walk back to their home or a PG at the same time made me feel proud of my city. Coming back to my story, girl was ready for the New Year party with her friends as her close friend was out of station. They just enjoyed the night and were returning to their respective destination. The girl with only 100 meters left to reach her home, a bike stopped near her and he rushed into her. She started to shout help, help which did not make any great help to her. He was the delivery boy who was delivering PIZZA’s to her. The man was accompanied by one more person. The twist and turn of this incident was when that hated dog (girl hated) started to attack those molesters who were dragging her to the corner. This made many dogs coming to the rescue of that girl who was hating dogs going through Cynophobia. This may have happened only because of that boy who was feeding biscuits.

If a dog had some power to speak, it would have directly told us not to compare those molesters or goons who don’t understand the feeling of a fellow being to their category. They are far better than real mad human beings who do not respect girls, then molest and rape them. If asked about it they (molesters/rapists) reply with pride that it is her mistake of coming out at night wearing attracting clothes. It is very difficult to change the mentality of people at one shot. It is better to make the law stronger with no loop holes to escape after doing such a sin. It is also shocking to know that even the minister’s who are supposed to take decision on developing a state or country is also speaking the same tone as the culprits(it happens, it’s her fault). So, all men are not dogs, but some are and others who does not respect the feeling of women comes under different category all through.
