Sr PHP Developer

Job Description:

1. Understand business requirements and participate in project roadmap discussions in order to design, estimate, and deliver secure, and highly performing code Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
2. Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
3. Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
4. Ensure the system/applications are in compliance with specifications
5. Investigate, evaluate, and apply new web technologies.
6. Taking ownership of code quality by applying industry standard unit/integration testing techniques and best practices.
7. Identify and implement performance improvements and optimizations.

Mandatory requirements:
Experienced in developing web applications with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery/Ajax and JavaScript for at least 2 years
Experience in developing Web applications using modern PHP MVC frameworks
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript libraries, jQuery etc.
Good understanding of Web and Social Media applications/ Cross Browser / Mobile Best Practices
Experience developing database applications using Microsoft SQL and MySQL is a plus such as dashboard and other applications
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Solid experience in understanding UI/UX designs and how to get the implemented
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms
Passionate about new technologies and large scale systems
Focused on usability, maintainability and quality, building for the long term
Self learner looking for good hands on development work on new technologies
Prior experience in analytics based applications is a plus.


IT Skills required:

1. Working knowledge of Drupal/Wordpress/Magento
2. Experience of MVC design patterns and frameworks (Zend/CodeIgniter).
3. Ability to write and consume SOAP & REST web services.
4. Working knowledge of Google APIs like Gmap, Lat/Long & ect.
5. Hands on knowledge of best practices for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility.
6. Proficiency with front-end scripting including: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JSON and front-end development including jQuery.
7. Experience with internet security and ethical hacking concepts. Should be able to secure a web application against vulnerability attacks.
8. Strong SQL development skills (should be proficient with queries using JOIN, UNION, aggregation and conditional functions) and design skills (data normalization, foreign key constraints, indexes, etc)
