Karnataka sees biggest single-day spike with 918 new Covid-19 cases

The biggest single-day spike of 918 cases takes the total Covid-19 positive cases in the state to 11923 of which 4439 are active cases, 7289 people have been discharged, and death rises to 191 with 11 registered today.


With 918 new Covid-19 positive cases being registered on Friday, Karnataka again witnessed its biggest single-day spike in coronavirus cases. Bangalore has its highest numbers till date with 596 corona cases being found as positive cases today. This has made the state government to think again with the UNLOCK 2.0 on board.

Today, the BSY government decided to implement a full lockdown on Sunday from 5 July. The government offices in Karnataka will be working for 5 days, Saturday and Sunday will be off. The strict decision on Lockdown or Unlocking more businesses will be taken after the 10th Standard Examination ends, i.e. on July 4.
