The first semi-finals of the Celebrity Cricket
League was played today between Karnataka Bulldozers and Bengal Tigers. Winning
the toss Bengal tiger’s captain won the toss and put them in to give the
opponents a good total to chase. It was
a good start from the Bengal openers by having a partnership of 36 runs in 4
over. Then two quick wickets fell under the power play over to put the Bengal
tigers to back foot. But, Yusuf who was supported by middle order batsmen
helped the team to reach a good total of 168 runs in 20 over. Extras bowled by
the Karnataka bowlers were 20 that are more from the side. Yusuf was the
highest scorer with 51 runs off 29 balls. RAO picking 3 and CHANDRA taking 4 wickets
were the main bowlers for the Karnataka team. Karnataka Bulldozers started
badly with two wickets of the team falling early in the innings. Then it was
Dhruv and Rajeev scoring half centuries put the team in the driver seat. The
man of the match Tarun’s four wickets was the main reason for the victory. It
was an easy win for the team scoring the winning runs in the 19th
over of the match. The extras also was one of the negative points for the
Bengal team as they produced more than 20 extra more than the KB extra’s to
help the score more easy for the team. It will be Karnataka Bulldozers playing the finals again the winners of the second finals to be played in a hours time. Will it be Telugu Warriors or the Bhojpuri Dabbangs?
