Shark Attacked in Australia

A surfer was battling for his life today in the wake of being destroyed by a shark in Australia's south, told the police. The man was surfing at Fishery Bay in Port Lincoln National Park, exactly 245 kilometers (150 miles) west of Adelaide, when the shark assaulted him.

"The man supported life-debilitating wounds and was transported to Port Lincoln Hospital," was told the Australian Police. South Australian Abalone Industry Association president Jonas Woolford said there had been expanded shark sightings in the range as of late.

"All the reports are that they're out there and that they're forceful," he told the Port Lincoln Times. Sharks are a standard highlight in Australian waters, and swimmers and surfers have offer of experiences with the creatures lately. Specialists say assaults are expanding as water games get to be better known, despite the fact that fatalities stay uncommon. The latest passing was in February when a Japanese man passed on after both his legs were gnawed off by a shark close Ballina in eastern Australia. Two adolescents kicked the bucket in shark assaults in December, one on the nation's west drift and one on the east.
