Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) issues guidelines for passengers


Bengaluru will be ending its lockdown tomorrow and with new guidelines implemented from tomorrow; the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has released its guidelines for the public, as the Buses will be on road for the public from tomorrow.

Let us go through the Guidelines as given below:

            Service Availability:

                BMTC to operate 1500 busses in Bangalore city accept containment zones

                Services will be increased based on passenger traffic

           Operating Time:

               Services will be operated between 06:00 AM and 08:00 PM

             Responsibility of Crew:

o   Crew should wear facemask while on duty.

o   Crew should use sanitizer and maintain hygiene

o   Buses should be stopped at designated bus stops for boarding and de-boarding.

             Precautionary measures for Passengers:

o   Mandatory use of facemask for covering mouth and nose. Passengers without masks are not allowed.

o   Passengers shall maintain social distance while boarding/ alighting the buses and follow queue system.

o   If all seats are occupied in the bus, passengers shall not board the bus and wait for next bus.

o   Passengers suffering from fever and other aliments should refrain from travelling.
