Bangalore Lockdown Guidelines Out

With the Corona cases rising in Bangalore, the state government under the chief Minister had a video conference with the officials yesterday. In the meeting, the decision to have a weeklong strict lockdown was released today with rules similarly set as per lockdown 1.0. This lockdown is also to improve the bed and hospital facilities for the patients. The district is under the supervision of 8 government officials as the district is divided into 8 zones. This would be one of the steps to reduce the numbers by having a detailed check in the allotted zones. Now, the guidelines are little stronger with the police forces already having the idea of a lockdown would play a big role in this 7 day lock. Our doctors, Nurses and Asha workers are also alerted with their responsibilities.

Let us go through the guidelines set by the state government of Karnataka for this 7-day lockdown:

1.      Step out of the house only when essential.

2.      Strict to wear Masks and follow social distancing when out of house.

3.      Agriculture and related activities will remain fully functional.

4.      All health services like hospitals, clinics, medical stores will be available.

5.      Offices of Government and Private Corporations cannot function.

6.      Movement of all types of goods are available outside containment zones.

7.      Flights and trains already booked to be operate. The tickets booked will play as e-pass. No new flights or trains be booked.

8.      Students attending Exams already scheduled need hall tickets (used as e-pass) to travel.

9.      No movement of KSRTC, BMTC, OLA, UBER and other private vehicles.

10.   Inter-state and Inter-city travellers cannot travel to or from Bangalore without applying for e-pass through Seva Sindhu portal.

11.   Schools, Colleges, Malls, Restaurants, Private Complex, Gyms, Swimming pools and Cinema Hall to be closed down. Restaurants are encouraged to have delivery service.

12.   Shops including ration shops, dealing with food items like vegetables, fruits, milk, meat are allowed to open from 5 am to 12 pm.

1.      No movement of people by KSRTC, BMTC, Private buses or passenger vehicles except permitted under these guidelines.

2.      Inter-State and Inter-district movement of passenger vehicles, only in case of emergencies or as permitted under these guidelines. The movement is through registration/obtaining valid pass through Seva Sindhu (https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/Sevasindhu/English)

3.      Inter-district (within Bangalore area) movement of passenger’s vehicles in emergency cases or for permitted activities under these guidelines.

4.      Movement of passenger’s vehicles to and from Bangalore area only in case of emergency after obtaining valid passes and strictly adhering to the prevailing SOPs/guidelines issues by Department of Health and Family Welfare.

5.      Movement of personnel travelling with valid ID card issued by their Organization/Institution to the place of work and for permitted activities in these guidelines.

6.      Students appearing for exams can use Admission tickets as travel pass and use mode of transport including auto/taxi, rickshaw, etc.
