Accenture's Stress Buster Plan

As the World is facing the pandemic, the IT sector around the globe has substantially decided to give “WORK FROM HOME” option for their employees. This decision has both advantages and disadvantage, with the employees suffering from long hour jobs and employers constructively stressed about the security issues. The option of work from home was supposed to be a helpful atmosphere for the employees with the family around them during work. But, the extra hours in their job has made the employees stressed with the family members to suffer with the employee. However, keeping the security issues aside, Accenture has come up with some rules and regulations to reduce stress on the employees who are working for hours together.

Accenture have taken steps to reduce stress happening to their employees by reducing the meeting hours and fixing the cut-off time of conference calls that takes hours together compared to the meeting held in office spaces before the pandemic. It was a happy moment for the IT employees who were given the option of WFH from the mid of March. This interest started to fall with the job hours getting stretched and meeting hours increasing stress. After three months of WFH, the team of experts from Accenture has come up with some changes given below.

Accenture has asked the employees to end conference calls by 5:30 p.m every day. The leads and Managers are also asked to reduce the meeting schedules on Fridays. The Stress Management team is training its employees to remove stress.

The company is trying to reduce the five-day work cycle to four days a week work cycle. The company has fixed with no formal operating headquarters. It has plans to continue this by no permanent workplace or offices assigns to employees.

As the gyms, theaters, malls and restaurants are shut due to this pandemic; Accenture has plans to implement work from office for jobs only if the profile requires on-site travel or work. It is also changing the structure of kitchen and areas where the employees rush in. This would focus on social distancing and reduce the gathering making it more interesting to control the spread of the dangerous corona virus.
