SRILANKA on top despite Pak return




Sri Lanka after losing their first test match against the Pakistan team in their home turf are back with some good show in the second test by reducing the Pakistan team for 138 runs in the first innings of the test with Kaushal showing his talent of turn by picking five wickets giving away 42 runs from 10.5 over. Opening bowler also claimed three wickets. For Pakistan it was Mohammad Hafeez with 42 runs. The Srilankan team started to play the first innings with a good innings from the opener Silva scoring 80 runs in 218 balls. The other batsman who scored for the team was captain Mathews scoring 77 runs. The hosts were all out for 315 runs after some good bowling in the end by Pakistan. Pakistan started their second innings with a wicket of Hafeez falling early in the innings. Then it was Ahmed Shehzad and Azhar Ali taking the visitors from a bad position to an innings defeat. Azhar made 117 runs and Shehzad scoring 69 runs bringing the team back in the test match. Pakistan ended their second innings at 329 runs with a lead of 151 runs. Now with one day remaining in the test match the hosts need another 152 runs to level the series.

Pakistan: 138/10 first innings

Srilanka: 315/10 first innings

Pakistan: 329/10 second innings

Need another 152 runs to win.
