Indian Premier
League started its journey from 2008 and is in its eight season. It is said
that batting is the power head in T20 Matches which sees batsmen hitting big
six and fours that gives the bowler a tough time in the field. It is also
proved that the bowlers are thrown out of the national T20 team due to the bad
performance in the IPL. But, it is also proved by some bowlers that they can
make a come back to their national team after a great bowling performance in
the IPL. Let us see the Purple Cap holders who have just given their team a
winning run due to their bowling in the tournament than batting. Restricting a
team from scoring a big score is difficult, but, some of them have proved a
lot. The list is as follows:
This bowler from Pakistan showed a super performance in the first edition of the Indian Premier League by taking wickets and helping the team reach the finals and win the season.
2. RP Singh:
The Indian fast bowler was in great form in the second season of the IPL by picking wickets for his team, Deccan Chargers and winning the tournament.
3. Pragyan Ojha:
The left arm spin bowler was playing for the Deccan Chargers and was in great form. He just did not allow the opponent batsmen to score runs and also taking wickets.
4. Lasit Malinga:
The trump card for the Mumbai Indian was Lasit Malinga and is still the main bowler for the team. He just demolished the opponents wickets by bowling great over in the depth overs won the purple cap in the fourth edition.
Morne Morkel:
This South African bowler was playing for the Delhi Daredevils with good spells in the beginning of the innings and then delivering in the final overs helped the team to make to the next round. They could not win the tournament but played well.
Dwayne Bravo:
The West Indian all rounder proved why he is the best all rounder. He just picked wickets and also scored runs for CSK. He was the main reason for the team’s best performance.
Mohit Sharma:
The strong team could not make it to the finals, but Mohit Sharma won the Purple cap with some great bowling show. He picked wickets in each match and was the depth bowler who helped the team to win some crucial matches.
Dwayne Bravo:
Again this bowler provide himself as the best all rounder of the tournament by picking wickets and also scoring a half century helping the team win matches. He also picked some super catches.
