Jammu-Srinagar Highway Closed




The vital Jammu-Srinagar national highway stayed shut for movement on Saturday for the fourth successive day because of avalanches."We are passing the avalanche trash at Magarkoot and close to the Battery Cheshma in Ramban region. The street is liable to be opened for vehicular movement later today (Saturday)," a senior activity division official told IANS in Jammu.

After over a week, Jammu city had an unmistakable sky on Saturday and the climate in the valley likewise enhanced extensively. "The surge risk is over. All major and minor waterways and water bodies are streaming regularly today in the valley," said an authority of the surge control division.

Sonam Lotus, chief of the neighborhood climate office told IANS that the climate is liable to remain dry amid the following four days. "We are expecting dry climate in the state amid the following three to four days," was the report. In the interim, scores of Kashmiris stranded in Jammu have advanced the powers to organize Air Force fights for them so they can return home.
