No less than 40 persons were killed and around 200 others
harmed when the motor and two mentors of the Dehradun-Varanasi Janta Express
wrecked close Bachrawan Railway Station in the region today. The mischance
happened around 9.30 AM close Bachhrawan Railway station, around 50 km from Lucknow.
As indicated by preparatory reports, the train driver
clearly overshot the sign and accordingly, the motor and two bordering mentors
crashed, Railway Spokesperson Anil Saxena said in Delhi. Tracks have requested a request and
reported a remuneration of Rs 2 lakh for the closest relative of those murdered
in the mischance. While Rs 50,000 will be given to those harmed genuinely, Rs
20,000 will be given to individuals with minor wounds
Line Minister Suresh Prabhu has educated Chairman Railway
Board A K Mittal and Member Traffic Ajay Shukla to hurry to the spot. When the
news of the mishap spread, individuals from adjacent towns raced to the spot to
help in salvage and alleviation operations. The villagers helped in removing
travelers caught in the disfigured mentors of the train. The spot of the mishap
