Bollywood
performing artist Rati Agnihotri today documented an objection with police in
Mumbai blaming her spouse for abusive behavior at home and intimidation. The Bollywood actress, who has acted in a few movies, is recalled basically for her part in
the 1981 blockbuster 'Ek Duje Ke Liye'.
Deputy
police Commissioner said that "Rati Agnihotri, who has wedded Anil Virwani
in 1985 recorded dissention against him today saying he had rationally
tormented her other than striking her physically."
Mr
Jayakumar also said "A case has been enlisted against Virwani under IPC
areas 498A (spouse or relative of spouse of a lady subjecting her to
remorselessness), 323 (deliberately creating hurt), 350 (utilization of criminal
power) and 506 (criminal intimidation)." The
54-year-old performing artist, who stays in south Mumbai's Worli territory with
her draftsman agent spouse and performer child Tanuj, had been languishing the
brutality over quite a while, as indicated by her dissention.
"She
didn't specify any particular reason in respect to why her spouse tormented and
whipped her," Mr Jaykumar said, including "We will explore the case
and proper activity would be started." Police
sources said that Ms Agnihotri had orally griped to police on March 7,
demonstrating scraped areas on hands because of the asserted beating by her
spouse.Virwani's
business was not doing admirably and this could be one of the explanations
behind him to lose temper, police said.
