Indian Cricket has a history of having great batsmen. The
main drawback of Indian cricket is that of fast Bowlers. There is no great pace
bowler found after Kapil Dev who was also an all rounder. Now let us see some

5. Zaheer Khan: One of the findings of the Indian Cricket
was Zaheer Khan. He is one of the best pace bowlers of Indian cricket. He made
his debut in the year 2000. He has taken 311 wickets off the 92 test matches he
played and 282 wickets of those 200 One Day International he has played for the
country.
4. Venkatesh Prasad: He made his test debut in the year 1996
and retired in the year 2001 and the One Day International match was debuted in
the year 1994 and played his last ODI in the year 2001 against Kenya. He
picked 96 wickets after playing 33 tests and 196 wickets in 161 ODI matches. He
shared the opening bowlers spot with Javagal Srinath after Prabhakar’s
retirement.
3. Manoj Prabhakar: is one of the best all rounders of
Indian cricket. He was the opening bowler and also opening batsman of Indian
cricket. He has played 39 tests taking 96 wickets and 130 ODI’s taking 157
wickets for the country. He was retired in the year 1996.
2. Javagal Srinath: He made his test debut in the year 1991
and One Day International Debut in the same year. Totally he has played 67 test
taking 236 wickets and 229 One Day Internationals picking 315 wickets. He
played for more than ten years for India. He had some injury problems
and then changed he style of Bowling to come back.
1. Kapil Dev: He is the best pace opening bowler of Indian
cricket. He was also the captain of Indian team and one of the best lower order
batsmen of his time. He has taken many wickets and also scoring many hundreds
under his name. He made his test and ODI debut and in the year 1978 and played
till 1994. This is a long time and was always the pace bowler of the team till
his retirement. He has taken 434 wickets off 131 tests and 253 wickets by
playing 225 One Day International.
